Sometimes though, the leak could be coming from a bad temperature/pressure relief valve or the pipe on top leading into the water heater could be leaking.

We have absolutely no problem however, installing a GE, Kenmore, Whirlpool, or other brand heater that you may have picked up on your own from let's say Sears, The Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
